CPP Twist Wrap from Multifilm is an elegant, traditional, yet cost effective way to piece wrap a large variety of pre-formed confection, ranging from hard candy to chocolate truffles. Multifilm’s cast-modified polypropylene CPP Twist Wrap is engineered for high speed and outstanding value. It runs very well on most twist wrappers on the market today, with little or no modifications. A modern twist wrapper can wrap well over 1,500 pieces/minute with CPP Twist Wrap, but even older equipment from the 1970s and 1980s will see good productivity.
CPP Twist Wrap is a very shelf stable material, and will not dry out and turn brittle in low humidity conditions, a problem that often plagues cellophane and wax paper. There is also no wax build-up on machine parts with CPP Twist Wrap, so cleaning shut-downs are not necessary due to the material. It is also a more environmentally friendly material than PVC, which is increasingly becoming banned by retailers and manufacturers in Europe and North America for food applications.
With a significantly better yield than cellophane, yet comparable haze and gloss values, CPP Twist Wrap looks and feels like traditional twist wrapping, but at a significantly lower cost.
CPP Twist Wrap works well on most pre-formed candy, including hard candy, cough drops, and chocolate truffles. Cut n wrap applications tend to work better with our UltraWrap material.
CPP Twist Wrap is available in a variety of sizes and finishes, and can be customized for virtually any application. Available gauges are 1.0, 1.2, and 1.4 mil thicknesses. The material finish is clear, tinted, white, or metallized. Stripe metallization and D-Met are also available. A matte version, called PaperEx, has the look and feel of wax paper, but none of the machinability issues often associated with wax paper, such as brittleness and wax build-up.
